Dance is a way to reclaim our ecstatic experience of life. It gets us out of our heads and into our bodies and the present moment.
Ecstatic dance is unchoreographed, yet supported. We come together in conscious community to connect with ourselves, each other, and a greater life force. We dance in a safe environment, free of judgment, that allows us to access the fun and healing power of creative expression through movement.
No previous dance experience is required. All ages and abilities welcome.
We'll begin with some basic guidelines and setting our individual intentions, then dance to a wide range of musical styles. As the session draws to a close, we'll return to stillness, with an invitation to reflect on the experience.
$10-15 per person. No one turned away.

Yin & Yoga Nidra with Alison Von
Sunday's July 2, 23, Aug 6, 20th.
The first 40 minutes will include physical postures (accessible to all bodies and experience levels) meant to prepare the body for stillness. The final 35-40 minutes will be the practice of Yoga Nidra. Below is a description of both Yin and Yoga Nidra.
Yin yoga is the most calming and cooling of all asana (postures) approaches. It provides one the opportunity to stay within a posture long enough to relax deep connective tissue and fascia, especially around the areas of the hips and spine.
Yoga Nidra is a type of meditative practice where the individual rests on their back with support under the knees and head to ensure little to no movement throughout. Anyone can do Yoga nidra and there is no 'wrong' way even if there are guidelines to receive the most benefits. Alison Von will guide you into the deepest and longest brainwave length known as Delta. In this state, you transcend sleep and become attuned to your body in a dreamless state. Here is where our Sankalpa, or intention, can provide powerful change within our subconscious mind resulting in real change within our waking life. Everything from physical, mental/emotional and even spiritual healing begins during and after Yoga Nidra.
$15 or 2 for $20
Cash only please
(All are welcome regardless of what can be given!)
Songs For Activism and Empowerment
Check back for dates
Come and join us as we gather to sing and chant for our spirits and souls. We usually pull from a range of traditions sharing both knows chants and songs (and sometimes creating a few our own) This month, seeing the challenges that we are facing as a nation, we are inviting activist to come join us in sharing and learning song we can all pass on to energize and empower our movement of healing and protecting our democracy, our earth and each other. Everyone welcome, all ages, colors, experience, abilities, genders.
This is a community building event, facilitated in a "You can't do it wrong!" style. You do not have to be a singer to attend, come bathe in this sweet song circle as a sound meditation.
We raise our voices together in songs that celebrate love, diversity, power, the rhythms of the year, and the circle of life. We sing songs for times when comfort is needed, and songs that remind us of our ancestors. We sing songs to give us courage in our work to re-wild the world. We sing songs from home and songs from afar. We sing silly songs and songs that invite dancing, songs that you can take home and sing the rest of your life. By the circular, non-hierarchical, harmonious intertwining of our voices, we bring light to the world. Relax into the voice you were born to sing with as we share beautiful, fun, simple songs that can reshape our world. All Voices Welcome! We especially need yours!
