Pilates Matt and Body Awareness: Claire

Exercise for core strength and flexibility.  Beginning classes are excellent to help alleviate, prevent and recover from injuries. Pilates focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine.  Exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and strengthen the deep torso muscles, Claire takes her class a step further to strengthen and work with movements of your the whole body. This is a great class whether you have had knee surgery, chronic back pain or a just want a tight tummy.

All classes include asanas (postures), sun salutations (a common grouping of asanas) and ends with savasana (relaxation in corpse pose).
